When the car senses that the battery is weak or there is a low charge, it will disable convenience features, heated seats being one of them. Others are defrosters, comfort access range decreases or shuts off Click HERE to join and feel free to use my BMW CCA member # 191509 as a referral. Turning on the rear defroster is not going to do anything in your BMW, that's not how they work. If it didn't clear the frost on your mirror after your car was on for 10 minutes or so, you've got a problem for the dealer. There is little to no heat coming out of this E46. First thoughts would be to inspect the thermostat, and heater core valve, as those are typically the most IHKA HVAC is a hot water temperature controlled system with engine heat radiators after the AC evaporator, with hot coolant throttled to the radiators by Hot-water Control Valve (s). The AC evaporator is always fully loaded except to prevent freezing and for power control. On cold mornings the car takes a very long time (15 minutes or more) to blow warm/hot air. Checked everything in iDrive/Cimate settings, all ok. Seat and steering wheel heaters heat up very fast, btw. Spot on to a degree if the battery is showing exhaustion signs to conserve power for priority items it will shut power down for secondary items like heated mirrors/rear window even if you have the option when unlocking your car day time running lights that too could well be disabled to conserve power. __________________. I have a 2010 e90 320i. Because its winter now, I use my heater every day. But since last week, on the driver side, no hot air is blowing, even when I set temp on 28 degrees.(Climate control). Any tips? 2015 BMW 640d Gran [0.00] Finally: heated seat retrofit working. There's good news (mostly for me) and bad news (mostly for everyone else): For those who did not see some of my earlier posts I'll recap. My current 330d E90 M Sport has the interior from my old car in it; this means the seats were heated seats, but the car had no wiring to My plan is this: )Drain Coolant. )Refill with 4 gallons of distilled water + 750mL of Liqui Moly Radiator/Coolant Cleaning Solution. )Run car for 30 minutes, idle + maybe a little test drive to really get the coolant warm and circulated fully. )Drain distilled water and cleaning product. )At this point, I plan on flushing the heater core on it Step 4. After sealing the outlet tightly, turn on the water. If you’re using an air compressor, turn that on. After some time, the remaining coolant, water, and grime will flow through the inlet hose into the container. Let the water flow for a few minutes to remove the clog. Turn off the water and allow the system to drain. So here's an update; I decided to try to code out my ACC module. I deleted +541 (ACC) from the VO and added +544 (DCC). I have a 6 cilinder so I need +544 instead of +540 (Regular Cruise Control) from what I understand. I then recoded the CAS, KOMBI and DSC modules. If the O 2 sensor heater circuit’s negative wire goes directly to ground, look for a short-to-power problem. Usually the heater circuit in this case is controlled by a relay. Remove the relay and retest the circuit. If the light comes on again, locate the short-to-voltage in the wiring harness with the relay removed. 2014 35d. Its starting to get cold up here in the north east, so we figured we would try out the heated seats for the first time since purchasing our X5 3 months ago. The drivers seat back does NOT get hot. Doesn't even get warm. Seat bottom gets hot like it should, and so does the bottom and back of the passenger seat. There is only one heater core. The temperature for each side for dual climate is controlled by the blend doors. Sounds like the passenger side blend door is not working. It will take a little work to inspect it. I haven't had to do this on an e90, but have fixed two Jeep Grand Cherokee's with dual climate control. fNBS.
